To YMCA Upgrades

The Collingwood YMCA fundraising drive received a huge boost thanks to a donation of $100,000.00 by Canadian Mist. Canadiamn Mist Vice President and General Manager Harold Ferguson presented the cheque to YMCA Campaign Manager Daniel King and Collingwood YMCA Campaign Chair, Collingwood Dentist Dr. Rob Reid. Canadian Mist will donate the money over a four year period.

The Collingwood YMCA fundraising drive is looking to raise two million dollars. The Town of Collingwood has already contributed $1.5 million dollars.

Phase two of the YMCA renovation/upgrade will include the construction of a new fitness centre, a new 25 metre pool and a family leisure pool. In addition, existing showers, changerooms and washrooms will be renovated.

The Collingwood YMCA currently enjoys a membership of more than 3,500 people.
