Joann Bowden was the big winner at the Women in Business Awards held at the Blue Mountain Golf and Country Club.

Collingwood resident and entrepreneur Joann Bowden has been honoured as the first winner of the new "Women In Business" award. Bowden has created a business known as "Custom Sewing Service" and has quickly established a reputation as a leading designer in the Collingwood - Southern Georgian Bay region. Joann has volunteered her time to many organizations over the years including sitting as a board member of the former Georgian Triangle Economic Development Commission's Enterprise Centre.

Lesley Paul was also honoured at the Enterprise-Bulletin Newspaper sponsored event. Paul received the Heart and Soul Award. Lesley Paul has just recently taken over the operation of Stuart-Ellis Pharmacy in Collingwood. (read related story)
