Spring Thaw

The rain and mild temperatures caused the Pretty River to flow over the causeway at Oliver Crescent.

Mild Start To Spring Break

Two weeks of mild weather have contributed to a slow melt, easing the worries of town of Collingwood work crews and residents along area rivers and streams. While water levels were running high, no major flooding issues have been reported. The area caught a break when the early forecast of continued rainfall didn't materialize at the beginning of the March Break. Despite the mild temperatures and light rain, ski and snowboard conditions remain good for this time of year much to the delight of the thousands of people visiting the southern Georgian Bay - Collingwood region for the March Break.
