The upgrades to Collingwood's sewer and water lines coincide with the necessity to expand services to the southern boundary of the town. Services are now available along the Poplar Sideroad, opening the door for home and retail development. A part of the south end development includes a new water reservoir and booster station presently under construction on the Poplar Sideroad, east of Hurontario Street at the Pretty River. The addition of services to the southern boundary of the town will also allow for the development of a new industrial park west of the new water reservoir and booster station. |

Eden Oak Development under the leadership of Romas Kartavicius and John Di Poce, have purchased 136 acres of industrial land in south east Collingwood, with the objective of working with the Town of Collingwood to develop employment lands. Developer Romas Kartavicius is pleased to be working with the Town and attracting new employment to Collingwood. Mr. Kartavicius said “Collingwood’s skilled and available labour force, reliable and affordable utilities and telecommunication infrastructure are only several of the reasons that enticed him to Collingwood”. The 136 Acre Business Park will consist of buildings 2,500 square feet and up. It is proposed to be an Industrial Design/Build and will be customized to meet the needs of the individual businesses and will include industrial condo units.
