New Housing To Be Constructed


Clearing operations are underway on a large section of land north of Campbell Street along the Poplar Sideroad West, just east of High Street. Services will now be available to this section of town allowing for the construction of new housing. This new development will feature a roundabout to be constructed at the intersection of the Poplar Sideroad and High Street.

The southern region of Collingwood is undergoing massive a massive transformation. While the Town of Collingwood continues to expand and upgrade aging services, work is underway by private developers to prepare former farmland for extensive new home construction. Hundreds of homes will be constructed as the Town of Collingwood continues to rapidly grow.



Land is being cleared to make way for new housing construction along the Poplar Sideroad East of Hurontario Street/County Road 24, and south of the new Admiral Collingwood School.

Construction is underway on the South Collingwood Water Reservoir and Booster Station on the Poplar Sideroad East, on the west bank of the Pretty River. Completion date for the new station is December, 2007.

The extension of services to the southern boundary of Collingwood will also allow for new commercial development at the intersection of Hurontario Street and the Poplar Sideroad.
