20th Annual Event Held On Civic Holiday Weekend

Michael Naemsch
International Artist & Photographer

The Collingwood Downtown Outdoor Art Show not only introduced visitors to various types of artistic expression, but it introduced visitors to the artists themselves. The 20th anniversary show was presented by the Georgian Bay Association for Creative Arts.

Owen Sounds' Michael Naemsch worked on his art at the show, and took time to chat with people about his work. Naemsch has taught Art in Toronto for 15 years, and was also a teacher of History and Social Sciences for 28 years. His paintings are collections throughout the world.

The Civic Holiday Weekend brought with it sunshine and unique works of art to the show. Collingwood's Diane Hammond (pictured below) is an online educator who has grown a passion for photography into a successful hobby/business.

Terese Connolly and Leslie Worts (pictured below) attended the show. Terese had beautiful stained glass artwork on display while Worts displayed her unique and very popular "Floorcloths" artwork collection.

The Collingwood Outdoor Art Festival not only featured fabulous arts and crafts, but offered a variety of live music stylings throughout Saturday and Sunday.
