Collingwod Mayor Chris Carrier and Councilor Kathy Jeffery took part in the opening ceremonies of the Collingwood Lawn Bowling Club's Opening Day on Saturday May 17th, and then they took to the playing surface to officially get the new season in motion. Collingwood Lawn Bowling Club President Bruce Lowe welcomed club members and visitors to the opening day ceremony. Following the opening remarks, the sunshine arrived just in time for club members to launch the new season. The Collingwood Lawn Bowling Club is situated behind the YMCA on Patterson Street.
