Lance Dobinson
Returned For 2009
Nottawa's Lance Dobinson has grown up as an entertainer on stage at the Collingwood Elvis Festival. Dobinson returned to the festival in 2009 as a Past Champion, performing at the historic Gayety Theatre in downtown Collingwood on Thursday night, July 23rd, on the main street stage at the Awesome Street Party and Tribute Artist Showcase on Friday, July 24th, and at various locations throughout town.
Dobinson says that it if wasn't for the music of Elvis Presley, he wouldn't be developing his own career as an entertainer. Lance is a graduate of Collingwood Collegiate Institute and presently attends Humber College to study music. He plans to continue his career in the music business after he graduates.
Dobinson has been performing as an Elvis Tribute Artist for ten years. He has toured throughout Ontario, the United States and Japan. He has performed with Country Music Hall of Fame Inductees "The Jordanaires" and the "Stamps Quartet."
"I enjoy it so much ... I'm really happy to be back again this year" Dobinson said.
