Jason Alexander - 40 Paintings - One Man Show - Collingwood Public Library

The one man show known as "Jason Alexander - 40 Paintings" is on display at the Collingwood Public Library. The show features over 40 acrylic and oil original paintings created by this internationally known artist who has shown his artwork throughout Canada, the United States and Europe. His work includes a variety of landscapes, abstracts and still life paintings.

"I'm known as a fauvist painter, meaning I 'paint like a beast,'" said Alexander. "When people see my artwork they'll experience intense colours, stron gpatterns and skewed perspectives - key characteristics of fuvist painters."

He is the "other" Jason Alexander from the former sitcom Seinfeld, having contributed his work to the program's set. In addition, Alexander has had his artwork featured on the sets of Will and Grace and Suddenly Susan. Alexander is now a resident of Collingwood and recently opened Alexander Art Materials and Supplies.

"Since this is my first large show in Collingwood, I wanted to include a special large abstract painting for the Collingwood audience." To interact with the people of Collingwood, Alexander is hosting a free walking tour of his show every Sunday afternoon at 3:00.

The show continues until April 30th.
