The Fishing Is Good
Collingwood harbour is a busy place, year-round. The recent mild spell followed by very cold weather helped create thicker ice in the harbour, making for excellent conditions for ice fishing. While we recognize skiing, boarding, hockey and snowmobiling as important winter activities, ice fishing attracts many out-of-town visitors to Collingwood each winter.
It has been a good season for ice fishing in Collingwood Harbour. Despite a January thaw, ice conditions have remained favourable for this popular outdoor activity.
