Dedication To Heritage In Downtown Grand Rapids
Collingwood Mayor Chris Carrier was visiting Grand Rapids Michigan to attend the Fourth Annual Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Cities Initiative Meeting from July 11th to 13th at DeVos Place, a new downtown conference centre. The bonus for his trip was what he saw throughout the downtown business district of Grand Rapids. "I was very impressed with the redevelopment that has taken place and the obvious dedication to preserve heritage" Carrier said.
Like Collingwood, downtown redevelopment in Grand Rapids, Michigan, pays strict attention to heritage guidelines to not only renovate existing structures but to construct new buildings.
