Collingwood Downtown welcomed and entertained local residents and visitors on the long holiday weekend with three major events. The popular Art In The Parking Lot, presented in conjunction with the Georgian Bay Arts and Crafts Association, was joined this year by the Collingwood Downtown Fringe Festival. In addition, the weekly Farmers' Market, held every Saturday morning, helped make the downtown a very busy and popular place to be. Art In The Parking Lot was held Saturday and Sunday at Pine and Second Streets, and showcased various types of art and crafts created by Collingwood area artists. The Fringe Festival featured a wide variety of music, poetry and entertainment for children on outdoor stages situated throughout the downtown on Saturday.
