Downtown Farmers' Market
Returns For 5th Season

Saturday May 17th

The popular Downtown Collingwood Farmers' Market will once again be a part of Spring, Summer and Fall weekends, returning May 17th and running to Thanksgiving.

A popular Downtown Collingwood meeting place will once again come to life at the corner of Pine and Second Streets throughout the Spring, Summer and Fall seasons. The Saturday morning Farmers' Market will retun on May 17th and will continue every Saturday morning until Thanksgiving weekend. Throughout the growing season, local vendors will feature display a wide range of organic vegetables and fruit, baking, meats and cheeses, flowers and trees, jams and preserves and handcrafted items at the downtown market. Special activities for the family, entertainment and artists from the Georgian Bay Arts and Crafts Association will be featured each week! The hours of operation will be 8:30am to 1pm each Saturday. On the Canada Day and Civic Holiday weekends, operating hours at the market will be extended when the market will move to Hurontario Street.

Downtown Collingwood businesses are encouraged to participate in the weekly market. Downtown BIA General Manager Sue Nicholson says the market provides a great opportunity for merchants to promote their businesses and to offer special market sales or demonstrate new products.

You'll see familiar faces and a few new faces when the 2008 Collingwood Downtown Farmers' Market returns for its 5th season on May 17th. The Canada Day and Civic Holiday Weekends will see an expanded market move to Collingwood's Main Street with extended hours and live entertainment.
