Collingwood Colours Returns
to the
Georgian Frame Gallery

Collingwood Colours featuring the artistic talents of Collingwood Collegiate art students has returned to the Georgian Frame Gallery for an encore performance. Last year was the first time the event was held, and Margot Nicholson-Trott of the Georgian Frame Gallery said the event was an instant hit with the community. "I'm thrilled to be involved in such an exciting event, to be able to host these aspiring artists and provide a showcase for their art. I know it will be an exciting couple of days for all involved."

Last year, sales from the framed 12 inch square canvases raised over $1700.00 to benefit students in the Visual Art Department at Collingwood Collegiate.

This year the students are focusing on local landmarks, and it is always interesting to see what a different generation considers a landmark to be and how each artist will bring it to life on canvas. Every framed original painting will sell for a very reasonable $50.00.

Collingwood Colours will hold its opening reception on Friday May 6th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with the show continuing on Saturday May 7th from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
