The Christmas Season was already underway, but the arrival of the 2008 Collingwood Santa Claus Parade made everything seem official. The parade, held on Sunday December 14th, had been planned for one week earlier, but severe winter weather including high winds and bitter cold temperatures forced officials to move the parade to one week closer to Christmas. What a difference a week meant. Temperatures were above normal on December 14th, making it comfortable for the huge crowd and hundreds of youngsters who lined the downtown streets to watch the parade, and to see Santa! |
