Large Turnout For 2010 Collingwood Event

The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure is Canada's largest, single day, volunteer-led fundraising event dedicated to raising funds for breast cancer research, and education and awareness programs. Every October, thousands of Canadians participate in the run. Their reasons for taking part may vary, but everyone has the same goal in mind; to create a future without breast cancer. Thanks to the support of more than 170,000 Canadians, the 2009 Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure raised $26.5 million.

Each year, thousands of Canadians of all ages and from all walks of life unite to participate in the Run. Their reasons for participating vary, but they all have the same goal; to create a future without breast cancer

In Collingwood, a large crowd gathered at Harbourview Park on a chilly but sunny Sunday morning to take part in the town's 6th anniversary Run for the Cure event.
