CCI Reunion
Sesquicentennial Celebrations

150th Reunion

Remember when you enjoyed the music of The Marcado's when you were in high school? The Marcado's were back to entertain CCI students of past and present during the 150th CCI Reunion Weekend.

A Celebration of 150 Years
Of Strong Traditions

Former students of CCI arrived from all parts of the country and beyond to attend the Sesquicentennial CCI Reunion on the Canada Day long holiday weekend. It was a time to remember, to share stories, to laugh and to wonder where the years had gone. More than 1,000 former students attended the three day reunion. A highlight of the weekend events was the reunion of "The Marcado's" -- a former band from days gone by featuring former CCI student Fran Webster on vocals and guitar. The words "remember when" were repeated over and over again throughout the weekend as CCI alumni got together to reminise. The reunion featured a golf tournament, flashback dance, alumni breakfast, official opening ceremonies, the Hall of Memories, an open mike talent showcase, a CCI Band get-together, a class of 92 bowling event and many other special actovotoes. The weekend concluded with a farewell barbecue on Sunday afternoon at CCI.

The Black and Gold Society induction ceremony honoured former CCI students Bernard Brophy, Sue Palmer, Kevin Titus, Sheri Titus, Anne McEachern, Scott Lecky, Chris Stoutenberg, Steve Sammons, Ed Kea, Yvonne Wilson and former CCI staff members Jim Sinclair and Wayne Hunwicks.

The CCI Reunion was a part of Collingwood's Sesquicentennial celebrations. For more information about special events, visit the web site at www.collingwood.ca/150years.
