A group of participtants of the Downtown Collingwood Spring Restaurant Walking Tour enjoy the bright sunshine as they visit some of Collingwood's outstanding downtown restaurants.
A Celebration Of Great Taste
It was a celebration of the arrival of Spring, a bright sunny day, and of course, it was a celebration of the amazing tastes to be found in Collingwood's downtown restaurants. The 2009 Downtown Collingwood Spring Restaurant Walking Tour drew a large crowd again this year on Sunday, April 19th. Over 200 participants enjoyed guided tours of downtown eating establishments. Upon arrival at each destination, groups learned the history of the restaurant, met the owners and staff, and were treated to special offerings of food and drink. The bright sunshine made for a perfect day to enjoy time on any of the many downtown patios that are now open.
Loblaw Great Taste was one of the participating sponsors of the Spring Restaurant Walking Tour in Downtown Collingwood. Guests not only enjoy terrific food, but they pick up some helpful cooking hints along the way.
Collingwood BIA Manager Sue Nicholson. Nicholson was pleased with the large turnout for this year's Spring event. Participating outlets for the Spring Restaurant Walking Tour were Buddha Dogs, Duncan's Cafe, The Admiral's Post, The Stuffed Peasant Restaurant, The Olde Town Terrace, Kat's Place Internet Cafe, Brunello 27 on Fourth, Trattoria Azzura, Loblaw Great Food and Blue Ridge Meats.
The tour continues to grow in popularity as the available 200 tickets sold quickly.
