March Is Magic
For Our Children

Collingwood Public Library Is Hosting The 2008
Magic of Children in the Arts Exhibition

It truly is magic! The Magic of Children Art Exhibition and Competition is on display at the Collingwood Public Library throughout March, with the Awards Show to be held on March 20th in the Royal Canadian Legion auditorium.

Magic of Children in the Arts Director Marion Lewis says close to 300 students of all ages will be participating in the 2008 exhibition and competition. "Work will be on display by students attending Junior Kindergarten to students attending Grade 8" said Lewis.

The 14th anual exhibition and competition will feature work from students attending Pretty River Academy, Mountainview Public School, Cameron Street Public School, Admiral Collingwood Public School, Connaught Public School and St. Mary's Catholic School and Little House Montessori School in Collingwood, Worsley Public School in Wasaga Beach, Duntroon Public School, Clearview Meadows Public School and Clearview Montessori School and Byng Public School from Clearview Township.

This year's theme ties in with Collingwood's Sesquicentennial celebrations. Marion Lewis encourages everyone to take some time to drop by the gallery in the Collingwood Public Library (Maple Street at Second Street). "The work is amazing. It's so important that we promote creativity with our children" Lewis added.

Magic of Children in the Arts Program Director Marion Lewis is excited about the outstanding quality of work to be displayed by the children in the Collingwood Public Library Gallery throughout March. Contact the Magic Art Gallery at (705) 444-0911
