Entertainment, Children's Activities and Local Fresh Produce
The popular Collingwood Downtown Farmers’ Market returned on the long weekend for a new season. The market operates each Saturday morning in the heart of Collingwood’s historic downtown from the holiday weekend in May until Thanksgiving Weekend in the municipal parking lot at the corner of Second and Pine Streets from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Again this year, local vendors will feature a wide range of organic vegetables and fruit, baking, meats and cheeses, flowers and trees, jams and preserves, handcrafted items and more. Special activities for the family, entertainment and artists are featured each week.
To celebrate the market opening this year, Darci-Que and Emily were on hand to provide fun activities for the little ones. Darci-Que was also signing copies of her latest book in the Adventures of Mollie Doodle series, entitled “Molly’s Friend Murphy Goes Bonkers”. Adding to the festivities at the market this weekend will be “JUGGLES”, aka Curtis Lush, demonstrating the unique art of juggling.
There are still vendor opportunities available for the Farmers’ Market. Full season, four week seasonal and weekly spaces are being offered to a limited number of producers and crafters, to compliment the existing base of returning vendors. For a complete information package, please contact the Collingwood Downtown office at 705-445-5595.
