Collingwood Dragon Boat & Canoe Club Regatta Saturday July 10th in Collingwood Harbour |
Bright sunshine, warm temperatures and at times, brisk winds welcomed participants to the second annual CDBCC Sprint Regatta in Collingwood Harbour on Saturday, July 10th. A highlight of the day's activities was the final event where two teams went head-to-head in a war canoe race. At day's end, the big winner was the Balmy Beach Canoe Club. The regatta saw 80 paddlers in all age groups from peewee to masters participate in singles, pairs and fours in sprint canoe and kayak.
