Black Harvest returned to Downtown Collingwood on Saturday, October 30th. The event continues to grow in popularity, attracing large crowds to the haunted downtown Collingwood streets. Downtown BIA General Manager Sue Nicholson said that the good weather, the fact that the event was held on a Saturday, and a growing interest in celebrating Halloween in a safe, controlled environment all combined to attract the large crowds.
Downtown merchants were busy handing out candy to the young costumed visitors. There was face painting, a children's activity centre, contests for the best costumes, the popular Zombie Walk and evening guided haunted walks throughout the downtown heritage district.
