21st Annual Show Features Work From
Familiar and New Artists

The 21st annual Town & Country Studio Tour on June 5th, 6th and 7th is sponsored by the Blue Mountain Foundation for the Arts, and features outstanding work from area artists. Collingwood residents and visitors to town wandered the streets on foot, on bicycles or in their vehicles to meet with the artists face-to-face and to view their work.

Erika Dick has an obvious love of nature and expresses those feelings in oil paintings, on display at Suite Fixings on Beech Street. "I just started painting about five years ago, I really didn't know I could do this" Erika said. She has travelled throughout Canada and the United States taking pictures of nature scenes that she has, or plans to capture in her oil paintings.

Collingwood's Andrew Peycha (www.andrewpeycha.com) has a close relationship with nature and a special interest in the shifting play of natural patterns. His new work focuses on motion.

Leslie Worts displayed floorcloths and table covers that have been painted on the reverse side of vinyl flooring using vibrant and acrylic colours. Leslie's work is unique and certainly captures her creative flair for artistic expression.

Susan Armstrong's work focuses mostly on landscapes, in watercolour and oils. In addition, Susan creates her own jewelry and handmade mohair teddy bears.

The Blue Mountain Foundation for the Arts presents the Studio Tour Artists Gallery Preview, showcasing the fine art and craft of 68 BMFA member artists until June 7th at its downtown Collingwood gallery.
