Developer Stephen Assaff unveiled the new design for Admiral Collingwood Place at the regular meeting of Collingwood Council on Monday, October 3, 2011. Assaff said that it felt good to be back in front of council with design plans for the much anticipated downtown retail and condominium development.
Assaff said that the design presented to council on October 3rd was similar to the original project design, but better. He said that the new design will feature 28,000 sq. ft. of commercial space, 108 surface parking spaces and 127 residential suites.
Assaff said that having gone through three designs of this project, he now has a much better understanding of what the marketplace wants, adding that the suites will range in size from approximately 750 sq.ft. to 2500 sq.ft and priced from $260,000 to $1Million.
The building's roof area will feature an indoor/outdoor lounge with caterer's kitchen, a gas fire pit, a tranquil water feature, barbecues and private cabanas.
Councillor Sandy Cunningham praised the new design and said that Mr. Assaff has earned his respect as a developer.
Mayor Sandra Cooper reminded council that a public meeting to discuss the proposed new design for Admiral Collingwood Place will be held on October 24th at the Leisure Time Club. |
