It’s ‘game on’ in the downtown Eddie Bush Memorial Arena
The 2018 Collingwood Ball Hockey season is underway, with action in Tyke/Novice, Atom/Peewee, Bantam and Men’s divisions.
The league is enjoying growth and is benefiting from the new floor in place at the downtown arena. This year, all games will be played indoors at the Eddie Bush Arena.
Collingwood Ball Hockey is a fun league for players starting as early as age 4. The season kicked off May 1st and continues until the end of July or early August.
The league’s slogan is “keep playing even in the summer.” Ball hockey on the large playing surface at the downtown arena certainly gives hockey players of all ages a good workout and provides an excellent summer fitness routine in preparation of next fall’s season.
Visit the Collingwood Ball Hockey web site for more information, sponsorship opportunities and schedules.
Ball hockey in the downtown arena is a part of the transition to using the facility for activites other than ice hockey. The removal of the sand floor, replaced by a new permanent floor, will allow the arena to host concerts, home shows, concerts and other special events, offering new attractions for visitors to downtown Collingwood this summer.
